Clos du Jaugueyron, Michel Théron and Stéphanie Destruhaut in Margaux and Haut-Médoc
The Clos du Jaugueyron is located in the heart of the Médoc, within the prestigious appellations of Margaux and Haut-Médoc. This estate is the creation of Michel Théron and Stéphanie Destruhaut, who have been dedicated to it for over 25 years, striving to produce authentic wines that honor their terroir.
Patiently built from 16 parcels, the vineyard is cultivated using organic and biodynamic farming practices, ensuring methods that respect ecosystems. Michel and Stéphanie observe and interpret each plot to craft unique wines that embody the character of the soil and climate.
The terroirs are divided between Macau, for Haut-Médoc (silica-gravel draining soils that produce elegant and early wines), and Arsac, for Margaux (gravel and clay soils offering depth and complexity). Each cuvée uniquely reflects these diverse terroirs.
The vinifications are minimalist: manual harvesting, low doses of sulfur, and aging in barrels for 12 months to preserve the purity of the grapes. The wines combine finesse, elegance, balance, and vibrancy, while respecting the identity of their terroir. Even in their youth, they bring great pleasure.

Why buy wines from Clos du Jaugueyron?
Because we love them, and we believe these wines truly belong in your cellar! But as some of our customers have told us, "we are not objective, since we have tasted them and chosen them to sell: we are interested." That’s why we prefer to "defend" our selection with comments from major guides, more objective than we are:
Guide RVF of the Best Wines of France 2022: "Looking for a Médoc wine off the beaten path? Clos du Jaugueyron is made for you. Michel Théron and Stéphanie Destruhaut lead a truly original and accomplished project here. The estate now consists of about fifteen parcels in Haut-Médoc and Margaux (Arsac), managed with great respect using biodynamic farming. But it’s in the cellar that the estate stands out, with a highly minimalist approach to vinification: low sulfur, minimal extraction, aging partly in large containers and vats to preserve the fruit as much as possible. The result is wines with a distinct personality and superb grace."
