Since taking over the family winery in 2017, Jean Esprit has worked hard and invested heavily to lift his wines to the top. This young, dynamic and passionate winemaker makes great Rhône wines in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation of remarkable elegance and quality, with particular attention to respect for the terroir. His white Perles Ivoire, a blend of marsanne and roussanne, impresses with its finesse and precision. The red Syrahs offer depth and complexity that rival the best neighboring appellations such as Saint-Joseph or Côte-Rôtie. Their quality/price ratio is particularly attractive (from €16 for classic Syrah). The Perles Noires and Le Zouave cuvées (a tribute to his grandfather) are great wines for laying down. Jean Esprit is already establishing himself as one of Crozes-Hermitage's talents to watch, and his wines will appeal to all lovers of great Rhône wines.
